How to Measure Your Polo Shirt – The Perfect Fit Guide
To achieve the ideal fit, we recommend measuring a polo shirt you already own and fits you well. Lay it flat on a smooth surface and follow these steps:
1. Chest (Pit to Pit)
Measure from one underarm to the other, straight across the front.
This is the most important measurement for overall fit.
2. Shoulder Width
Measure from one shoulder edge to the other (where the sleeve meets the shoulder seam).
3. Shirt Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the collar) straight down to the bottom hem.
4. Sleeve Length
Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.
How to Measure Your Shirt – Tailored to Perfection
Accurate measurements ensure a refined silhouette and a flawless fit. For best results, measure a shirt you already own that fits you perfectly.
Lay the shirt flat on a clean surface, buttoned up, and follow these steps:
1. Chest (Pit to Pit)
Measure straight across from one underarm to the other.
This defines overall comfort and fit across the body.
2. Shoulder Width
Measure from one shoulder seam to the other, across the back.
This ensures the shirt sits perfectly on your frame without dropping or tightening.
3. Shirt Length
Measure from the highest shoulder point (next to the collar) down to the bottom hem.
A proper length ensures a clean tuck and a polished appearance.
4. Sleeve Length
Measure from the shoulder seam down to the end of the cuff.
Essential for a sharp, tailored look—especially when worn with formal styling.
5. Neck / Collar
Measure around the inside of the collar band.
You should be able to comfortably fit one finger between your neck and the collar for a perfect balance of comfort and structure.
